july started in omaha with adventures, jedi council meetings, concrete tubes, wall to wall beds, and crazy good food. 6 girls, 2 air mattresses, and 2 couches = endless fun.

then we spent some good afternoons in the west bottoms, and celebrated bastille day with even more borrowed patriotism than last year. crepes for everyone!

later july was spent in indiana with the best hummus, many cookies, and much more america's next top model. we learned a lot about posing and what not, then binge-watched bravest warriors and ate donuts like true models. also note the best blueberries I've ever eaten pounds of in just 24 hours. picked fresh from a blueberry ranch and everything.

bring it on august!

winter break-ing

here are some photos of the long lost days of winter break.
we started our northern trek in omaha, for new years with some of the greatest people ever. obviously.

after the celebration and the first snow delay, we headed to indiana to eat much breakfast food and watch copious amounts of chuck.

after multiple more snow delays, the last of which involved a full day of delays in the chicago amtrak station, we flew home. flying is the best. trust me.

you deserve a donut.

first off, spring break in 1 minute:

we spent our precious off time in south bend with half the sisters' kohrs and the coolest couple notre dame could offer.

first we stopped for the night in omaha, then started annoyingling bright and early the next morning for SB. we saw much barren waste land, and went through the birthplaces of many cool people, but most importantly, joliet - birthplace of Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson!)

once there we participated in a native american art battle. clearly we were the best. then we ate fish and chips at an irish pub.

homework happened some of the time.

breakfast for dinner (bowls of bacon,) and much deserved doughnuts.

we dodged many children on an olympic sized skating rink, and ate beignets after.

we stuffed our faces with pizza, and watched many movies while enjoying many cheesy balls.

then of course we drove home against a snow storm, across even more barren looking wasteland than before. we stopped for a delicious dinner in omaha, and got home in time to finish all the rest of the homework due the next morning.

terrific.

got out of dodge. part one.

back to school now, and it's been alright so far. one of the advantages of going back is that it means fall is almost here! I'm so excited.
the last couple weeks of summer seemed to feel just as long as the rest of them put together. july feels like forever ago. it's been crazy awesome though.

early this month, the sisters Kohrs (my favorite dynamic duo) and I headed to south bend to see my long lost sister for a week. it was amazing, bats and all.
some pictures of the fun:

(left to right- megabus ride that got us there, chocolate factory, old studebaker mansion)

(our favorite coffee shop -they gave us free scones!, goodwill adventures, coolest bookstore ever)
Starred Photos129
(birthday adventures - fingerpainting, chicago style deep dish pizza, best pastries ever)

we also visited the beach (and all got crispy,) watched a lot of cranford, gilmore girls, and burning love. it was terrific, and I can't wait for next time.
