winter break-ing

here are some photos of the long lost days of winter break.
we started our northern trek in omaha, for new years with some of the greatest people ever. obviously.





after the celebration and the first snow delay, we headed to indiana to eat much breakfast food and watch copious amounts of chuck.
















after multiple more snow delays, the last of which involved a full day of delays in the chicago amtrak station, we flew home. flying is the best. trust me.

hit the road jack.

started the month in colorado, and it was beyond amazing. just the right amount of sleeping and shenanigans, tasty food and camaraderie. every summer I think this trip can't be as great as the one before, but it always is.

got out of dodge. part two.

the week after the south bend adventures, we packed up and headed west.
sometimes it's really great to just get away for a bit. colorado in the summer is a bit of break for us all, and we try to do as little as possible except sleep, eat, and hike just a little. it's completely wonderful.

and now we're back to reality. the drive home was not uneventful, but we made it so that's all that matters. =)
